VHP CommunityCare Health Plan is dedicated to administering TennCare benefits to our members effectively and efficiently and is committed to providing our members access to high quality comprehensive and cost effective medical care. VHP has a written Quality Management Program (QMP) that is designed to objectively, systematically, and continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the delivery of health care and services provided to members. VHP’s QMP describes the scope, goals, structure and processes which are the foundation for VHP’s business model and framework for daily operations. All departments at VHP participate in the quality process and company-wide evaluation of goals occurs. Opportunities for improvement are identified and interventions are evaluated for impact of effectiveness. VHP monitors various clinical measurement activities and collects data for Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures. Data from HEDIS in various clinical markers can be compared to national data of other plans with similar member populations and is an indicator of performance based on consistent measurement.
