National Provider Identifier (NPI)

In the near future, VHP CommunityCare/Windsor Health Plan will require an NPI in combination with a Tax ID or an NPI in combination with a Social Security Number on all claims. This identifier fulfills a requirement of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

Providers can apply for an NPI online at:
